THE LYNN TAIT MOST PROMISING YOUNG DESIGNER OR ARTIST AWARD

This section of the website is where you can enter The Lynn Tait Most Promising Young Designer or Artist Award. This special award category recognises and rewards the wealth of young creative talent that we have in the UK. This award is open to all designers and artists (employed by a publisher or freelance) aged 35 years or under on 1 July 2022.

Entries can be submitted either by the designer/artist or the publisher, but the trophy for the winner will go to the individual.

Entry for all of The Henries 2022 categories will be completed entirely online (this includes uploading imagery). This means that unlike previous years, there is no need to send any physical mounted boards or card samples for this category.

This award category, like all the others in The Henries, is free to enter. Each entry for this award should demonstrate the entrant’s design talents (both generally and most importantly on greeting cards) as well as an insight into their inspirations that helps to set them apart

This year, for the first time, there will be a two-stage judging process. The initial judging stage will take place online. As a result of this, a shortlist of contenders will be arrived at. Following this, a live judging round of all shortlisted entries will take place, (again being judged entirely by retailers) for which publishers will be asked to supply actual physical card samples. These will be mounted on boards and presented to the judges and their votes will decide the finalists and winner in all the product categories.

The deadline for entering this award is midnight on 15 June 2022.

To enter this category (and any of The Henries 2022 categories) you will first need to register and create a password. You only need to do this once, as the registration covers you for all categories. Once you have done this it will mean that you will be able to save your submission progress as well as go back and edit your entries right up until the deadline.
